UNIQUE NAME & FONT

The process of designing a bicycle by the EMKY team
is finished off with giving each model a unique name
with its own font, painted by hand on the down tube.

NATURAL LEATHER

The handlebar is covered
with natural leather,
assuring firm grip while riding.
It’s finished off with a bar end,
designed and manufactured
by the EMKY team.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Every EMKY bicycle has an identification marking of
a given batch and a bicycle number in X0000 system
and a frame serial number in 0000000 system.

HUB

The possibility to adapt the EMKY bicycle to
individual needs and requirements is reflected in
among others, available options of the rear hub:
single speed, two-speed or seven-speed one.

 

MANUALLY POLISHED WELDS

EMKY frame construction nodes,
after welding with TIG method,
are subjected to manual processing
in order to polish the welds
and to give them rounded shapes.

TOPCOAT

All bicycle frames produced by EMKY are covered
with a layer of the highest quality topcoat
from Cromax brand – Axalta Coating Systems,
the use of which in our production process is the effect
of combining protective characteristics,
a proper degree of topcoat resilience and a proper level of gloss,
depending on the shade and grain regularity
of the wood used for their production.

 

WHEELS AND TYRE SIZES

The size of wheel significantly defines the riding style. All EMKY bicycle models,
due to speed and acceleration ease priorities, are equipped solely with light wheels
sized 28” (700C, rim diameter: 622mm). The longer the wheel circumference,
the smaller the approach angle,
so the obstacles are less noticeable and easier to overcome.
Tyres sized 700x28C which EMKY bicycles are equipped with, perfectly combine
the best features
of race and urban tyres through their characteristics and parameters,
allowing to climb hills easily and fast, and slightly uneven surfaces
do not significantly influence
the bicycle stability while riding.


BRAKE AND STEERING SYSTEM

All EMKY bicycles are equipped with:
BLB London ahead 25.4 mm stems
and BLB London 1 1/8″ aluminium forks,
cooperating with the Accent ahead 1 1/8″ headset.
All steering system is based on cartridge bearings.
EMKY bicycles are equipped with a complete Tektro brake system,
consisting of the Tektro 319AC brake lever and the Tektro R-325 brake.

PEDALS

All bicycles are equipped with EMKY pedals,
made manually of stainless steel and aluminium.
The whole construction is based on an axle
made of CR-MO steel and on cartridge bearings.

FRAMES

All bicycles are constructed based on EMKY frames made in Poland,
which combine epoxy laminate of fibres of proper weave and weight,
seasoned and formed natural wood, and aluminium.
Thanks to the compilation of all the materials used and proper selection
of technical parameters, they preserve suitable rigidity and low weight
while minimizing road unevenness at the same time.
The layers which they are covered with protect the frames against corrosion.
